EG for Agriculture owns and operates one of the largest organic date farm in Egypt. Located in the rich Bahariya Oasis
in the Western Desert (Al Wahat) region of Egypt, the farm is a total of 700 feddan, of which the farmable area is 570
feddan.
The company is led by a team of industry veterans, who contribute deep sector expertise both in dates and
agriculture more broadly, to the success of this project. With this knowledge and experience base, the farm harnesses
sustainable agriculture and cultivation techniques to produce premium, organic, mejhoul dates that have been highly regarded in the market thus far.

Egypt is the largest producer of dates by volume internationally, producing over 1.9 million tons of dates annually, accounting for 21% of the world’s production, and 25% of the Arab world’s production.
The country’s climate and agricultural conditions, namely its long summers and arid/semi-arid land, constitute ideal growing conditions for this superfood, enabling Egypt to produce high quality dates that easily rival other date-producing regions , Egypt’s contribution to the international dates market is only 2.3% .
